PORT TOWNSEND — Mehdi will present free weeding workshops from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Brian’s Food Bank Garden on Glaspell Farm, 1021 Olympic Ave.
During the workshops, Mehdi will demonstrate ways to remove perennial weeds such as thistle, bindweed and quackgrass without using toxic chemicals.
Attendees will be able to practice these techniques if they bring drain, trenching shovel or a spading fork.
Attendees should dress for the weather in old clothes and bring gardening gloves.
Participants should enter the driveway on the south side of Tremont Street at Olympic Avenue and park in the grass along the fence line.
