PORT TOWNSEND — The University Women’s Foundation of East Jefferson County recently awarded more than $70,000 in scholarships to 24 local women.
The recipients are:
• Anya Callahan — Elmira K. Beyer Endowed Scholarship, $11,000.
• Megan Weller — Academic Endowed Scholarship, $8,500.
• Lacey Bishop — Lisa T. Painter Endowed Scholarship, $6,000.
• Megan Bland — Academic Excellence Scholarship, $4,000.
• Leah Russell — Academic Excellence Scholarship, $4,000.
• Melanie Bakin — Academic Excellence Scholarship, $1,250.
• Leianna Kunz — Academic Excellence Scholarship, $1,250.
• Rachel Matthes — Constance Anna Pash Memorial Endowed Scholarship, $4,860.
• Emma Liliana “Lily” O’Shea — Constance Anna Pash Memorial Endowed Scholarship, $1,000.
• Bethany McWilliams — Susie Pool Moses Scholarship, $2,500.
• Hailey Gallagher — Environmental Scholarship, $3,000.
• Kelly Grace — Technical Career Scholarship, $5,000.
• Karyanna Eichmann — Technical Career Scholarship, $3,948.
• Olivia Nivision — Technical Career Scholarship, $1,052.
• Maya Dow, Port Townsend; Eryn Munn, Quilcene; and Akira Anderson, Chimacum — High School scholarships, $4,000 each.
• High School STEM awards, $100 each:
Chimacum High School: Madison Burgess and Layla Franson.
Port Townsend High School: Maya Dow, Aurin Asbell and Emily Grant.
Quilcene High School: Eryn Munn, Sara Eldridge and Anastasja Gossette.
