Tonight: art, orange, music in Sequim

SEQUIM — Tonight during First Friday Art Walk, you’re encouraged to turn into a pumpkin.

Or at least your personal interpretation of one.

For each of this year’s first-Friday tours of art around downtown Sequim, there has been a color theme, and for October it’s orange: as in that fall fruit. Or that Halloween squash. Or the shade now overtaking so many trees.

Dress for season

The art walk today from 5 p.m. till 8 p.m. is a chance to “enjoy an evening on the town,” said organizer Renne Brock-Richmond, and “dress in shades or orange or representations of harvest or Halloween.”

Admission is free to the many venues participating in the art walk, while most have refreshments and several have live folk, blues and jazz musicians coming in to play.

Here’s a sampling of the art displays and other activities on tap this evening.
