SEQUIM — Janet O’Conor Camarata is the featured speaker at the Genealogical Society of Clallam County’s spring seminar “Location, Location, Location!” scheduled for Saturday.

The lecture will be at the Dungeness School House, 2781 Towne Road, Sequim.

Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The program will finish at 3 p.m. Cost of the seminar will be $35 for Genealogical Society of Clallam County members and $40 for non-members. Tickets will be available at the door. To pay by credit card, go to the CCGS website (www.clallamcogs.org) and follow the directions for using Paypal.

Camarata is a popular speaker much in demand for her presentations, event organizers say. In addition to seminar talks, she has also been a presenter at the Northwest Genealogy Conference, the Washington State Conference and at other prominent events.

The program consists of four different sessions. The morning session includes Camarata’s lectures “Beyond Maps: Location in Context” and “Discover County Histories and the Family Stories They Tell.” In the afternoon she will explain how to understand and make the most of survey systems and general land office records.

Participants are asked to bring a sack lunch; however, beverage and munchies will be served during the registration period and breaks.

Heritage Quest Booksellers also will be in attendance.

For more information, call the society at 360-681-0962 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, or visit www.clallam cogs.org.
