Mantra concert
PORT TOWNSEND — The Unity Spiritual Enrichment Center will feature mantra artists Jaya Lakshmi and Ananda from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.
The musical duo will offer kirtan — a version of call-and-response singing — as well as original compositions at the center, 3918 San Juan Ave.

Open house
PORT ANGELES — The city’s Public Works and Utilities Department will hold an open house at its new downtown wastewater Pump Station No. 4 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. today.
The successful completion of the new pump station at 314 Marine Drive is a major step forward in completing the Combined Sewer Overflow Reduction Program, the city said in a news release.
Since the station was put into operation Sept. 15, 2016, the city has had no combined sewer overflows into Port Angeles Harbor, when normally there would have been more than 25 million gallons of overflow, the city said.

Hoarding seminar
PORT ANGELES — The public is invited to a seminar featuring two speakers from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at The Landing mall.
Dr. Jennifer Sampson and Terina Bainter will speak about the mental health aspects of hoarding at the mall, 115 E. Railroad Ave.
The conference is $90.
Organizers said hoarding is believed to affect people at a higher rate than OCD, schizophrenia and other mental health conditions.
Sampson is a licensed marriage and family therapist as well as the executive director of The Hoarding Project.
Bainter is a professional organizer and the owner of Clutter Cutters LLC, which serves Pierce and South King counties.
Four continuing education units, approved by LeadingAge, will be offered for attendance at this presentation.
