Sequim High School student receives scholarship at Pacific Lutheran University

PARKLAND — Pacific Lutheran University has awarded a President’s Scholarship to Aidan Braaten, a student at Sequim High School.

According to a press release, the scholarships are awarded based on academic achievement, service and leadership.

The scholarship pays $30,000 per year and qualifies Braaten to compete for one of the university’s Harstad Founder’s scholarships or a full-tuition Regents’ Scholarship.

Annual tuition at the private Lutheran university near Tacoma is more than $45,000.
