Sequim Bay Yacht Club donates to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County

SEQUIM — The Reach and Row for Hospice race hosted by the Sequim Bay Yacht Club last fall has donated the proceeds from the event to Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.

The September 2021 races brought in $30,863.72 — the second-highest total since the first race in 1991.

Since its inception, the race has garnered more than $433,000 for Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County (VHOCC) respite care.

“Thank you for opening your hearts and wallets to make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors,” said Susan Sorensen, event chair.

The 2022 Reach and Row for Hospice dates are Sept. 17 and 18, with the row race on Saturday and the sailboat race on Sunday.
