Victoria Wellman of Clinton won first place in Port Townsend Sunrise Rotary’s 11th Running of the Balls.
The annual fundraiser features 1,500 numbered golf balls careening down Port Townsend’s Monroe Street just before the start of the Rhododendron Festival’s Grant Parade.
Wellman’s first-place ball earned her $1,000; the second-place ball earned Laura Ivler of Gig Harbor $500; and Anna Richmond of Sequim garnered $250 with her third-place ball.
All prizes were adjudicated by Jefferson County Superior Court Judge Brandon Mack.
