Raptors on display at Gardiner store on Dec. 17

GARDINER — The Northwest Raptor &Wildlife Center will present live birds of prey at Wild Birds Unlimited in Gardiner during the store’s Give a Little, Get a Little Holiday Party on Saturday.

Birds from Jaye and Gary Moore’s nonprofit Northwest Raptor &Wildlife Center of Sequim will be at the store at 275953 U.S. Highway 101 in Gardiner from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“The public is invited to come into the shop to get an up-close and personal look at these incredible educational birds,” said Christie Lassen, co-owner of Wild Birds Unlimited.

“Everyone who brings a donation for the Northwest Raptor Center will get a Handy Hand Held Hummingbird Feeder for free as a thank-you from us here at Wild Birds Unlimited.”

The Northwest Raptor &Wildlife Center and Discovery Bay Wild Bird Rescue are nonprofit organizations that rely on public donations for survival.

Lassen said the centers are seeking donations of Wild Bird Unlimited bird seed and Saw-Whet Owl Boxes, as well as Dawn dish soap, laundry soap, scrub brushes, metal bowls, tall kitchen and 55-gallon garbage bags, cat and dog food, paper or cotton towels, disposable gloves and cleaning wipes.

Monetary donations are always welcome, she said.

Donations can be dropped off anytime to Wild Birds Unlimited .
