PORT ANGELES – Food lovers can nibble on exciting new dishes, bid on fine wine and getaway packages and enjoy live music at A Taste of the Peninsula on Saturday.
“Take your taste buds on a tasty tour of the Peninsula without making a single restaurant reservation!” says organizer Getta Rogers.
“This will be a splendid evening of wine, food, music and art.”
A benefit for the Clallam County Family YMCA’s community arts program, it will be held from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Elks Naval Lodge, 131 E. First St., in downtown Port Angeles.
A Taste of The Peninsula showcases signature entrées from more than 15 restaurants and bistros and related businesses – you can browse the auction items while you eat, or get a table with friends – plus taste premium vintages from the Peninsula’s wineries and soak up music by the Stardust Big Band, an art exhibit and an expansive auction.
Tickets are $40 and can be bought by telephone, online or at several locations.
A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door on Saturday.
Cuisine will be provided Alder Wood Bistro of Sequim; High Tides Seafood, Port Angeles; Nash’s Organic Produce, Sequim; Bella Italia, Port Angeles; Mount Townsend Creamery, Port Townsend; Pane D’Amore Bakery, Port Townsend; Interport Trading Co., Port Angeles; No Idle Daze Farm, Port Angeles; Oven Spoonful Catering by Julie Grattan and Dave Long, Port Angeles; Joy’s Bistro, Port Angeles; Cedar Creek Cuisine, Sequim; Lazy J Tree Farm, Agnew; Princess Valiant Coffee, Port Angeles; Graysmarsh Farm, Sequim; Montevista Herb Farm, Port Angeles; Yvonne’s Chocolates, Sequim; Heintz Berry Farm, Sequim.
All seven wineries from Port Angeles, Sequim and Port Townsend will be pouring wine – Black Diamond Winery; Lost Mountain Winery; Camaraderie Cellars; Olympic Cellars; FairWinds Winery; Sorensen Cellars and Harbinger Winery.
More than 20 silent auction items include a week’s stay on the Big Island of Hawaii; a weekend cottage getaway for two on Lake Sutherland; a family photo portrait session; catered gourmet dinners, Husky football tickets and classic wine by the bottle and case.
A Taste of The Peninsula is sponsored by the Port Angeles Association of Realtors, with assistance from the Port Angeles Regional Chamber of Commerce, North Olympic Peninsula Visitor Bureau and graphic artist Laurel Black.
