Forty music students from Port Angeles High School recently competed in the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association/Washington Music Educators Association State Solo and Ensemble Contest at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.
The school percussion ensemble, chamber orchestra, treble choir and string trio all competed along with solo performers Adam Weller, violin; Lucas Gavin, both in viola and piano; Olivia Wray, mezzo-soprano voice; Sophia Miller, flute; Will Rife, timpani; Reid Schmidt, snare drum; and Caleb Stuber, mallets.
