Peninsula College announces winners of 2022 art show

PORT ANGELES — Peninsula College’s Pirate Union Building Gallery of Art has announced the winners of its 2022 Student Art show.

Best in show was awarded to Kim Wimer of Port Angeles for the ceramic sculpture “Warhol’s Studio Recycling.”

Other winners are:

• Aubrie Scott, first place in 2-D: “Slipping Away from Reality.”

• Morgan Lasher, second place in 2-D: “Encore.”

• Elvina Taylor, first place in 3-D: “Discernment & Strength.”

• Kim Wimer, second place in 3-D: “Taking in the Wind.”

• Nathan Barber, first place in Photography and Digital Art: “World Trade Center.”

• Patrick Slattery, second place in Photography and Digital Art: “Boy in An Upside-down World.”

• Danielle Michelle Helms of Forks, second place in Photography/Digital Art.

Honorable mention award recipients are Kascia Muscutt for “Plums,” Arica Smith-Simmer for “They Met,” Emmalee Heins for “Bestie Vibes Only” and “Beetle Inu” and Jim McNulty for “Frog.”
