PORT ANGELES — Olympic Medical Center Foundation has canceled two events scheduled for the annual Festival of Trees because of the recent rise in COVID-19 numbers and corresponding restrictions to gatherings by Gov. Jay Inslee this week.
Tickets continue to be on sale for the Festival of Trees Gala presented by First Federal, which will be presented virtually 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, when the trees and wreaths will be auctioned off. However, the Teddy Bear Tea and Family Days are canceled because of the restrictions.
“We live in unique times, and feel badly that we’ve had to cancel the Teddy Bear Tea and Family Days,” said Bruce Skinner, OMC Foundation executive director. “However, we feel fortunate that we can still hold the gala auction.”
Gala tickets are available online at www.omhf.org, and by calling 360-417-7144. Tickets for the gala cost $105 and include dinner that can be picked up at local restaurants in Port Angeles or Sequim. Now in its 30th year, the annual event is a fundraiser for the Olympic Medical Center Foundation.
