Book discussion groups are planned at public libraries in Port Angeles and Sequim this month as the beginning of a new program.
The North Olympic Library System (NOLS) will host four book group meetings each month. Beginning in July, Saturday and Wednesday groups will meet in person outside, moving indoors in the case of inclement weather; other groups will continue to meet on Zoom.

Paperback copies of the titles will be available for pickup any time after the current month’s discussions at the Sequim Library, 630 N. Sequim Ave., or the Port Angeles Library, 2210 S. Peabody St., on a first-come, first-served basis.
Copies in other formats such as large print, book on CD and eBook may also be available to request through the NOLS catalog.
The July 2022 Book Discussion schedule includes:
• 2nd Saturday Book Discussion Group — “Having and Being Had” by Eula Biss. In-person meeting at 3 p.m. this Saturday, in the field behind the Sequim Library; paperback copies available at Sequim Library
• 2nd Tuesday Book Discussion Group — “The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek” by Kim Michele Richardson. Virtual meeting at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, on Zoom; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library
• Novel Conversations Book Discussion Group — “The Hearts of Horses” by Molly Gloss. Virtual meeting at 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, on Zoom; paperback copies available at Sequim Library
• Wednesday Evening Book Discussion Group — “The Plague of Doves” by Louise Erdrich. In-person meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, in the courtyard outside of Port Angeles Library; paperback copies available at Port Angeles Library.
