PORT ANGELES — The Clallam Conservation District will present “Putting Native Plants to Use on Your Farm” at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Planners from the district will discuss how to use native plants to add beauty, function and wildlife habitat to farms and other property.
Participants will hear brief descriptions of common, native trees and shrubs as well advice for planting areas like streams, wetlands and ponds.
Other topics include an overview on using native trees and shrubs to create visual screens, windbreaks and hedgerows along with tips for protecting new plantings from wildlife and livestock damage.
