SEQUIM — The long-running lunchtime music series Music Live with Lunch will return to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church at noon Tuesday.

Singer-songwriter Brian “Buck” Ellard will perform the season’s first concert at the church at 525 N. Fifth Ave., offering memorable tunes from Jimmy Buffett’s songbook to “Hallelujah” to “whatever the Spirit and the audience ask him to play,” he said. Ellard said his set list is typically made of requests through his years performing.

He’s been performing professionally since age 15 and has toured the world opening for such acts as David Allen Cole and Hank Williams III.

This year’s concert series has changed formats slightly, with four luncheons/performances and two concerts with tea and desserts.

The four luncheons will include music by Ellard, The Vivona sisters on harp and flute Oct. 17, Tom Reis on Feb. 20 and Twisted Roots on April 17.

For the tea/dessert concerts, the Port Angeles High School Chamber Orchestra will perform in December with a date and time to be announced, and the Sequim High School Girls Choir will play May 15 to finish the season.

One season ticket for the four luncheons is $40, or $12 per show. Afternoon tea and dessert concerts are $10.

The first event features glazed, grilled and chilled Copper River salmon served on a bed of lettuce with chilled pasta and cheesecake.

Lou and Bill Yandell started Music Live with Lunch almost 30 years ago as a musical outreach program to the community at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, with ticket sales supporting local nonprofits and efforts.

Lunch concerts start at noon in the sanctuary, followed by lunch in the parish hall.

Tickets can be purchased at the door or in advance at the church office from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays to Thursdays or by calling 360-683-4862.
