Milestone: Sequim Guild of Seattle Children’s honored

SEQUIM — The Sequim Guild of Seattle Children’s was recently selected by the Seattle Children’s Guild Association, from among more than 600 guilds in four states, as the recipient of the Chairman’s Award for Guild Excellence.

The Sequim guild has supported Seattle Children’s since 1976, raising more than $628,000 for uncompensated care and research at Seattle Children’s through a diverse range of activities including concerts and bunco parties; yard and garden sales; yearly holiday bazaars and Christmas Cottages; and pie sales at the Rotary Salmon Bake.

When COVID shut down indoor in-person events, the guild sponsored nine virtual silent auctions on Facebook and multiple bake sales at the Pumpkin Patch.

The guild’s newest venture is a weekly garage sale booth at the Pumpkin Patch Flea Market beginning June 4.
