Milestone: Peninsula College marketing group earns honors

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula College Marketing and Communications Department was recognized for excellence in computer-generated illustration, print advertising and their Areas of Study rack cards at the October National Council for Marketing and Public Relations Fall Conference.

The submissions earned bronze, gold, and silver awards, which were announced at the 2019 District 7 Conference in Friday Harbor on Oct. 24, where marketing and communications professionals gathered for professional development workshops and to honor each other’s work.

“We’re so proud to be telling our college’s and students’ stories, and I was honored to accept the award on behalf of our marketing team,” said Grace Kendall, director of marketing and communications.

“We are fortunate to be amongst caring and supportive colleagues who are also telling students’ stories across our district.”

The organization is a professional development association exclusively serving those working in communication at two-year community and technical colleges.
