CAN’T FIND THE summer heat? Get heated up on the dance floor or take in some music to warm the soul.

Port Angeles

■ Today at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, Jerry’s Country Jam from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

On Saturday, polish up your classic car for the car show at 3 p.m., or dance to Chantilly Lace from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

From 9 p.m. to 1 a.m., dance to the classic country of the Jimmy Hoffman Band.

■ Today and every Thursday at the Junction Roadhouse, 242701 W. U.S. Highway 101, Jason Mogi headlines the Deadwood Experiment with special guests at 8 p.m.

On Saturday, Chantilly Lace plays from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.

■ On Sunday at Next Door Gastropub, 113 W. First St., the Crow Quill Night Owls play from 6 p.m.

■ Every Tuesday evening at the Port Angeles Senior Center, Seventh and Peabody streets, the Port Angeles Senior Swingers present Wally and the Boys playing ballroom dance favorites from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. $5 cover; first-timers free.

■ At Dupuis Restaurant, 256861 U.S. Highway 101, Bob and Dave play Wednesdays through Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Sequim and Blyn

■ On Friday at the Oasis Bar and Grill, 301 E. Washington St., the Old Sidekicks will get you ­groovin’ from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

On Saturday, the Olympic Express Big Band will have you swinging and swaying from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, the fireworks start with jazz-flavored by the Blue Hole Quintet from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

■ On Saturday at The 3 Crabs restaurant, 11 3 Crabs Road, the Old Sidekicks perform from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

■ Every Saturday at Dungeness Bay Wine & Cheese, 123 E. Washington St., Lee Tyler Post plays rock and soul from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

■ It’s “All the Buzz” Wednesdays at the Sequim Senior Activity Center, 921 E. Hammond St., with Kelly and Victor hosting the open mic from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

■ On Friday at Stymie’s Bar & Grill at Cedars at Dungeness, 1965 Woodcock Road, Buck Ellard plays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On Wednesday, Electric Blue Sun performs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

■ On Saturday, at Castle Key, Seventh and Sheridan streets, the Skip Morris Trio, featuring bassist Ted Enderle and vibraphonist/pianist Mike Horsfall, performs from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. $8 cover.

■ On Saturday at the Uptown, 1016 Lawrence St., the Steve Grandinetti Band plays from 8 p.m. to midnight. $3 cover.

■ Today, Trevor Hanson plays at Ichikawa Japanese Cuisine, 1208 Water St., from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

■ Then, Trevor moves over to Lanza’s Ristorante, 1020 Lawrence St., on Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

■ Every Monday, Trevor Hanson plays at Alchemy, 842 Washington St., from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

■ Steve Grandinetti plays and sings at the Northwest Maritime Center Cafe, Port Townsend, on Thursdays and Fridays from noon till 2 p.m.

Local concerts

■ On Saturday, the Julie Duke Blues Band performs at Fort Flagler State Park, Battery Bankhead, at 7 p.m.

■ Tuesday’s Concert in the Park at Carrie Blake Park, Sequim, features the Dukes of Dabob from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

■ Wednesday’s Concert on the Pier in Port Angeles features the Old Sidekicks from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Fat Chance from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., when the fireworks begin.

Bring a chair, blanket, umbrella, etc., just in case.

Farmers markets

■ On Saturday at the Port Angeles Farmers Market, The Gateway center, Lee Tyler Post performs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

■ On Wednesday at the Port Townsend Farmers Market, Steve Grandinetti plays from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
