Port Angeles
■ Live music abounds this week at the Junction Roadhouse, junction of U.S. Highway 101 and state Highway 112 five miles west of Port Angeles.
On Friday, Ravinwolf brings their roots and blues to the dance floor from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. $5 cover.
Sunday is special. It’s a brew and barbecue potluck from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. with live blues, Chicago-style, as only the Moe Minor Showcase can present it. Dads, start dropping hints now that this is where you want to be.
An hour later, Johnnie Mustang hosts the Sunday Junction Jam from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Next Wednesday, banjo craftsman Jason Mogi and bassist Paul Stehr-Green play from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.
■ Tonight at Castaways Restaurant and Night Club, 1213 Marine Drive, come on down for Jerry’s Country Jam from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. If country’s your style, come and dance or play plugged or unplugged.
On Friday and Saturday, the Jimmy Hoffman Band returns to where it began these many years ago. With Jimmy (guitar) are Israel Butler (keyboards), Rudy Maxion (bass) and Ron “Sticks” Casey (drums) belting out classic rock, country and more from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
■ On Friday at Wine on the Waterfront (WOW) at The Landing mall at 115 Railroad Ave., it welcomes back the surprise of the Juan de Fuca Festival, Julia Maguire. This local singer/songwriter/guitarist brought the house down in a spur-of-the-moment performance that was the highlight of the festival for many. She’ll sing your socks off at 8 p.m. $3 cover.
On Saturday, alternative folk/indie groove artist from Seattle Jean Mann makes her WOW debut at 8 p.m. $5 cover.
