Irrigation Fest schedule

HERE IS THE SCHEDULE for the 110th Sequim Irrigation Festival, which gets under way this weekend.

Today

* Gardens on Holiday: Valley Garden Club’s 42nd annual flower show, plant sale and auction to benefit its scholarship fund, Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 Blake Ave., 1-5 p.m.

Saturday

* Gold Wing Motorcycle Display: outside Boys & Girls Club building, 400 W. Fir St., 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

* Arts and Crafts Show: merchants’ booths, live entertainment, Seal and Cedar streets, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

* Kids Parade: starts at Sequim High School football field, 10 a.m. lineup, 10:30 a.m.

* Kids Day: face painting, a “glue-in” and planting are among the indoor activities; “touch a truck” and Gold Wing motorcycles are on display outside, Boys & Girls Club, 400 W. Fir St., 11 a.m.-3 p.m.

* Gold Wing Twilight Parade: Gold Wing motorcyclists leave Staples parking and head west along Washington Street to Seventh Avenue, then right to Hendrickson Street. The ride continues on Old Olympic Highway to Sequim-Dungeness Way back to Washington Street and Coneheads ice cream, 291 W. Washington St. Parade starts at 8 p.m.

Sunday

* Arts and Crafts Show: merchants’ booths, live entertainment, Seal and Cedar streets, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

* Sequim High School Jazz Band: Performing tunes that won the band a top rating at the recent Heritage Festival in Anaheim, Calif., Arts and Crafts Show, Seal and Cedar streets, 2 p.m.

Thursday

* Carnival: “Funtastic” carnival on Sequim High School greenfield, opens 5 p.m.

Friday, May 13

* Crazy Days Breakfast: Celebrate in costume or just come to enjoy those who do, Sequim Elks Club, 143 Port Williams Road, 7 a.m.

* Past Royalty Luncheon: Oak Table Cafe, Third Avenue and Bell Street, 3-5 p.m.

* Carnival: “Funtastic” carnival on Sequim High School greenfield, opens 5 p.m.

Saturday, May 14

* Lions Club Pancake Breakfast: Carrie Blake Park, 6:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

* Super Cruzz Car Show ‘n’ Shine Staging: Registration and staging area at Les Schwab Tire Center, 802 E. Washington St., 7 a.m.-10:30 a.m.

* 16th Annual Logging Show and Tractor Pull: lawnmower races, helicopter rides, antique gas engine display, food, arts and crafts, donation at entrance, next to Carrie Blake Park, 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

* Super Cruzz Car Parade: West down Washington Street through town to Seventh Avenue, 11 a.m.

* GRAND PARADE: 110th Irrigation Festival Grand Parade moves west down Washington Street through town to Seventh Avenue starting at noon.

* Carnival: “Funtastic” carnival on Sequim High School greenfield, opens at noon.

* Car Show ‘n’ Shine: 5th Avenue Furniture Store parking lot, 490 W. Washington St., noon-5 p.m.

* Salmon Barbecue: Trinity United Methodist Church, 100 S. Blake Ave., 11 a.m.-6:30 p.m.
