SEQUIM — St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will welcome on Tuesday internationally renowned concert pianist Anson Ka-Lik Sin — who won an award at the 2013 Young Artist Competition — for its next Music Live at One show.
Ka-Lik Sin, of Hong Kong, brings his interpretation of works by such composers as Bach, Mozart, Chopin and more at 1 p.m. for the 30-minute show at the church at 525 N. Fifth Ave.
Following Ka-Lik Sin’s performance, listeners can enjoy camaraderie and dessert in the parish hall.
Tickets are $10.

In his short career, Ka-Lik Sin has performed internationally and on grand stages such as in Carnegie Hall and the Hong Kong Cultural Center.
He expects to begin his doctoral program at the University of Oregon after he completes a master’s degree in piano performance at the Oregon Center for the Arts at Southern Oregon University.
He holds a bachelor of arts with honors in music programme at Hong Kong Baptist University with a major in piano performance and pedagogy and minor in both violin and viola.
He continues to play in a variety of performance activities, such as piano in Concert Choir at Southern Oregon University and Hong Kong International Youth Philharmonia.
Ka-Lik Sin studied at Peninsula College in Port Angeles and played violin in both the Port Angeles Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra.
He also won Honorable Mention in 2013’s Young Artist Competition. Later, he played Beethoven’s “Piano Concerto No. 1” and Mendelssohn’s “Violin Concerto” with the Port Townsend Community Orchestra as both a solo pianist and violinist conducted by the late Dewey Ehling.
Two years ago, Ka-Lik Sin won the silver in the Manhattan International Young Artists Music Festival Competition leading to an invitation to perform in the Prizewinners Gala Concert at New York Carnegie Hall in July 2017.
He’s won numerous accolades and competitions stateside and internationally.
Following his show, St. Luke’s will welcome back Heidi Fivash to play on May 14 after snow led to the cancellation of her performance in February.
Music Live at St. Luke’s was founded more than 30 years ago as a musical outreach to the community.
All proceeds go toward local, regional and global concerns.
