Inaugural Strait from the Artists Studio Tour launches Saturday

Visitors can talk with artists in their own places

The inaugural Strait from the Artists Studio Tour is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at various locations across the region.

Attendees are encouraged to engage directly with the artists and the spaces in which they create.

The free self-guided tour from Gardiner to Port Angeles features Christopher Allen of Bottleworks451 Recycled Art; Mary Beth Beuke of West Coast Sea Glass; Mike Biskup of Mike Biskup Studio; Renne Emiko Brock of hue are you?; Teresa Crecelius of Cascade Caramel; Linda Entrikin of Linda’s Loft; Diane Fatzinger of Sticks ‘n Stones Designs; Monica Gutierrez-Quarto of Monica Gutierrez-Quarto Art; Gloria Knapp of Gloria Knapp Studio; Keith Ross of Keith’s Frame of Mind; Dominica Lord-Wood of Many Paths Fiber Art, and Jean Wyatt of J Wyatt Art.

Strait from the Artists Studio Tour is organized by Olympic Peninsula art businesses, arts advocates and educators “dedicated to encouraging education, positive professionalism, and creating inclusive and innovative opportunities,” organizers said.

“We have been working together for years planning this inclusive art event for folks to engage directly with the artists and the spaces that they create in,” Emiko Brock said.

“Built much like the welcoming, adventurous First Friday Art Walk in Sequim, we are delighted to launch Strait from the Artists Studio Tour on the Second Weekend in November.”
