PORT ANGELES — Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County has received a $5,000 donation from the Ben and Myrtle Walkling Memorial Trust.
The Walkling trust was established in 1992 to support charitable and civic projects that otherwise might not happen.
“This award will ensure the continued delivery of services to the community that VHOCC excels in,” said Astrid Reffinpeloz, volunteer services manager.
The grant will be used to purchase personal protective equipment, nursing supplies and safety equipment for delivery vans, according to a hospice press release.
Volunteer Hospice has provided hospice care, grief support and educational programs to the community free of charge since 1978.
