Homecoming parade, game tonight in Port Angeles

Then the homecoming dance will be Saturday night in the high school’s main gym.

PORT ANGELES — A parade will precede the Port Angeles Roughriders’ homecoming game tonight.

The Port Angeles High School Homecoming Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Clallam County Courthouse steps on Lincoln Street and move to Civic Field at Third and Race streets.

Alumni are invited to walk in the parade.

At Civic Field, the varsity team will play North Mason in the homecoming game, which will begin at 7 p.m.

Halftime entertainments will include performances by the high school marching band, cheer squad and dance team. It will feature homecoming royalty, which will be crowned during an assembly before the parade, and a carriage race.

The homecoming dance will be from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday at the main gym at the high school, 304 E. Park Ave.

Tickets must be purchased before 3 p.m. today. They will not be sold at the door.

Students have celebrated Roughrider Spirit Week since Monday, with daily dress themes, a Buff Puff game, a flag football game and a tug-of-war competition.
