Home, auto maintenance subject of first ‘Empower Yourself’ lecture

PORT ANGELES — Michael Bucierka will present “Home and Auto Maintenance” from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Bucierka, a former general contractor, home inspector and residential maintenance professional, will speak via Zoom in the first “Empower Yourself” series sponsored by Volunteer Hospice of Clallam County.

To register for the lecture, call at 360-452-1511 or email office@vhocc.org.

The series is free and open to all, although it is geared toward people who have recently lost a loved one and now find themselves faced with tasks their partner had handled.

Other topics in the series include: shopping and cooking for one, June 2; household finances, June 16; consumer protection and fraud prevention, June 30; and self-care, July 14.

The June 2 talk on shopping and cooking for one and the July 14 self-care class will be taught in person in Port Angeles and have limited seating.

The other lectures will be presented via Zoom.

Each lecture stands alone, and attendees may opt to attend any or all of them.
