PORT ANGELES — Priscilla Hudson, historian of the Sequim Prairie Garden Club, will talk about “The Lost Canoe” at the Clallam County Historical Society’s History Tales presentation at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
The free presentation will be in the social hall at First United Methodist Church, 110 E. Seventh St., Port Angeles. Parking and entry are on Laurel Street.
The vintage canoe in Sequim’s Pioneer Memorial Park appeared lost in the shrubs. It sat there for more than 60 years without signage.
Hudson searched a dozen years to find the story of the canoe and will share the journey through photographs and text.
Two professional photographers will add their glimpses of the journey as will others involved with this adventure, including Kurt Grinnell, Frank Hanson; , Tom Jackson, William Laubner, Michael McNerney, Irving Mortensen, Vince Penn, Viola Reibe and her daughters.
