History Tales to feature ‘Hands on History’ student presentations

PORT ANGELES — The North Olympic History Center/Clallam County Historical Society will host the second annual Hands on History presentations at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Members of the public are invited to visit each of nine exhibits by Port Angeles students at the Lincoln Center, 905 W. Ninth St., Port Angeles.

The presentation is free.

This is a change of venue for the April History Tales presentation.

The students will share their research about topics in Clallam County history such as the Port Angeles Opera House; the Spotted Owl Controversy; the Spruce Division Railroad; the 1893 Depression and the Lasting Legacy of G.M. Lauridsen; Sequim Railroad Park; Minerva Troy and the Arts; and Skiing in the Olympics.

Participants will be on hand to share what they have learned and chat with attendees.

Community members are encouraged to bring friends and family to support and encourage these students in their research.

Light refreshments will be served.
