PORT ANGELES — The Clallam County Historical Society will announce winners of the Heritage Award when it conducts its annual meeting during History Tales at 2:30 p.m. today.
The meeting will be at the First United Methodist Church social hall, 110 E. Seventh St., Port Angeles.
Information about the New Dungeness Light Station and Clallam County Fair royalty will be presented.
The society loaned the Cape Flattery Fourth Order Fresnel lens to the New Dungeness Light Station Association. Members of the group will show photos of the move and restoration of the lens. Volunteers spent 150 hours polishing the brass.
Laurie Davies, who has worked with Clallam County Fair royalty, will talk about her research and quest to fill in some gaps in the royalty history.
New board members and officers will be installed for the 2017-18 term.
Light refreshments will be served following the presentation.
