PORT ANGELES — Carol Miles will present “New Vegetable Varieties”” at noon Thursday.
The free lecture is part of the Green Thumb Garden Tips series streaming on Zoom.
Miles will discuss new vegetable crops that can be grown in western Washington including sweet potatoes, bulb fennel, cantaloupe and popping beans.
Miles is the director of Washington State University’s Northwestern Washington Research and Extension Center in Mount Vernon.
