PORT TOWNSEND — The Jefferson Healthcare Foundation has received a grant of $400,000 from the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust.
The foundation will use the grant to procure a linear accelerator cancer radiation treatment machine. This award brings the foundation’s capital campaign up to 75 percent of its $2.5 million objective.
“This grant will be pivotal in acquiring the state-of-the-art linear accelerator cancer treatment machine, amplifying our critical-care hospital’s ability to deliver cutting-edge treatment to cancer patients in our community,” said Carla Caldwell, the foundation’s executive director. “We extend heartfelt appreciation to the Murdock Charitable Trust for their belief in our mission to keep healthcare local.”
