Grand Olympic Chorus invites community to ‘Slice of Harmony’ pie social

Chorus members will don aprons to serve pie and beverages, then perform.

SEQUIM — The Grand Olympic Chorus, a part of Sweet Adelines International, invites the public to its Slice of Harmony pie social, set for 2 p.m. Sunday, in the church hall at Trinity United Methodist Church.

The suggested donation for the event is $10 at the church, 100 S. Blake Ave.

The chorus, which has been a part of the Sequim community for more than 30 years, hosts an annual show-and-sing at many local events.

The pie social, however, is a new event.

Chorus members will don aprons and heat up some Plush Pippin Pies, served with ice cream or a topping and a fresh cup of coffee or tea.

After the pie is served, the chorus will entertain under the direction of Mike Menefee.

The chorus is a nonprofit that raises funds to defray its operating costs and award scholarships.

The chorus also is selling whole pies (frozen) for the holidays as part of its fundraising efforts.

The pies will be available Sunday if preordered.

Get more information about the pie social online at grandolympicschorus.org or by calling 360-582-6192.
