Footprinter award winners announced for 2020-21

The Olympic Peninsula Chapter 74 of the International Footprint Association has named its officers of the year for 2020 and 2021 at a recent luncheon for honorees.

The honorees were all nominated by their respective agencies for exemplary accomplishment.

The chapter hosts the Officer of the Year program annually and grants scholarships to graduating seniors pursing a career in public safety.

The 2020 Honorees are: Chief Sheri Crain, Sequim Police Department; Deputy Chief Mike Hill, Sequim Police Department, Agent Daniel Janikic, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol; Chief Brian Smith, Port Angeles Police Department; Officer Swift Sanchez, Port Angeles Police Department; Communications Officer Jessica Conner, PenCom; Fire Marshall Mike Sanders, Port Angeles Fire Department; Firefighter/Paramedic Tyler Gage, Port Angeles Fire Department; Officer Jeff Thaxton, Sequim Police Department; Deputy Ben Tomco, Clallam County Sheriff’s Office; Detective Jeff Waterhouse, Clallam County Sheriff’s Office; Corrections Officer Lex Prose, Forks Police Department; and EMT/Quartermaster Carolyn Flint, Clallam County Fire District No. 4.
