Folk singer-songwriter to showcase pipes at Fort Worden tonight

PORT TOWNSEND — Folk and Americana singer-songwriter Keith Greeinger will perform at Fort Worden State Park tonight.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in Building 315, 200 Battery Way. Tickets cost $15 and can be purchased at keithgreeninger.brownpapertickets.com.

Greeinger’s tracks have been described as “intricate portraits of the human condition with powerful melodic images, deep engaging guitar rhythms and husky, heart-wrenching vocals,” according to his website at www.keithgreeninger.com.

Greeinger founded the folk and Americana trio, City Folk, toured the national folk and Americana circuit for more than two decades and most recently released, “Soul Connection,” in which Greeinger recorded with such musicians as keyboardist Bill Payne, Little Feat, Jackson Browne, Bob Seger, Emmylou Harris and James Taylor.

He currently lives in northern California, where he operates his own studio in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

Publicist Everett Moran jests that he and Greeinger both own recording studios where they present singer-songwriters, but unlike Greeinger, Moran has not been featured with an “enviable” list of musicians and performers, he said.

Building 315, or Rainshadow Recording Studio, is an all-ages, no-smoking venue that’s wheelchair-accessible. Pets are not allowed.

For more information, contact Moran at 360-301-0291 or centrumrecording@gmail.com.
