PORT ANGELES — The Clallam Conservation District will host two webinars on farmland management in December.
Planners from the district will present “Wintertime Management of Poultry” at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Participants will learn tips for raising poultry and waterfowl during wet and cold weather.
Some of the topics to be covered include footing and bedding options to minimize mud, tips for lighting and heating and suggestions for handling poultry manure and waste during the winter.
Time will be set aside for questions and answers.
The planners will also present “Putting Native Plants to Use on Your Farm” at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7.
