FAITH BRIEFS: Unity guest speaker set for weekend … and other items

PORT ANGELES — There will be a World Day of Prayer observance from 7 to 8 tonight.

The service will be held in Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3010 Lopez Ave.

The theme for the service is “Come: Everything is Ready” from Luke 14:15-24.

The NorthWest Women’s Chorale will lead the singing.

Motorcyclists meet

SEQUIM — The Christian Motorcycles Association will meet at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The club meets at the Mariner Cafe, 609 W. Washington St.

PORT ANGELES — Timothy West will present “Heart Strings” at 10:30 a.m. Sunday.

West will be the guest speaker at Unity in the Olympics, 2917 E. Myrtle Ave.

Sunday service begins at 10 a.m.

Christian lecture

PORT TOWNSEND — Fujiko Signs will present “Love without limit, Life without fear” at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

Signs’ lecture will be presented at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 275 Umatilla Ave.

Signs is a practitioner of Christian Science healing.

Supper and show

PORT ANGELES — The Peninsula Evangelical Friends Church will host “Supper and a Show” at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Friends will serve homemade soup, bread, rolls and homemade cookies at Friends Church, 1291 N. Barr Road.

During dinner they will show the animated 2003 documentary “Unlocking the Mystery of Life” and the 2018 short film “The Extraordinary Design of DNA.”

This family-friendly film screening is free and open to the public.
