PORT TOWNSEND — The Dying Matters Guild will conduct “Tending the Heart: A Community Grief Ritual” at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.
The non-denominational ceremony will be at Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 2333 San Juan Ave., Port Townsend.
The ceremony will be dedicated to acknowledging the losses people are carrying, witnessing and accompanying.
It will include musical interludes, poetry, candle lighting and other rituals.
The gathering will provide the opportunity to be together while recognizing all types of grief, including, but not limited to, death-related grief.
