SEQUIM — Glass artwork will be on display in a Sequim City Arts Advisory Commission exhibit that will open Friday, Jan. 6.

The reception for “Fused, Fired, and Stained … All Things Glass” will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. that day at the Sequim Civic Center, 152 W. Cedar St.

The exhibit includes 17 pieces of art from seven artists. All of the artwork is made from or includes glass.

The exhibit will be on display until March 31.

The opening event will include glass demonstrations:

Harrell is a Sequim native who has worked in glass for 29 years and has been teaching stained glass work for 24 years.

• 5:30 p.m. — Harper, a member of the Blue Whole Gallery, will show the four stages a piece of glass goes through from raw glass to the finished piece.

• 6 p.m. — Joanna Hays of Jojo Bead Art will share the process she uses to create her glass beads.
