Catholic services scheduled in Port Angeles, Sequim

PORT ANGELES — Advent Penitential services are set for this weekend in Port Angeles and Sequim.

Confessions will be heard from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 209 W. 11th St., and from noon to 3:45 p.m. at St. Joseph Parish, 121 E. Maple St., Sequim.

The Lay Carmelites will lead the Liturgy of the Hours at both Queen of Angels and St. Joseph parishes before masses during Advent. The rosary begins 40 minutes before mass and the liturgy begins 20 minutes later.

Mass is scheduled for 9 a.m. Sunday at Queen of Angels and at 4 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph Parish.

The Filipino Catholic Community invites the public to celebrate Simbang Gabi Holy Mass at 6 p.m. Saturday at Queen of Angels.

Services for the fourth Sunday of Advent are set for 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, at Queen of Angels; 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 23, at St. Joseph Parish; 8:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, at St. Anne Parish, 511 Fifth Ave., Forks; and at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, at St. Thomas the Apostle Mission, 52 Pioneer St., Clallam Bay.

Christmas Masses are scheduled for 10 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, and 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 25, at Queen of Angels; 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, and 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 25, at St. Joseph Parish; 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, and 9 a.m. Monday, Dec. 25, at St. Anne Parish, 511 Fifth Ave., Forks; and at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 24, at St. Thomas the Apostle Mission.
