OLYMPIC NATIONAL PARK — Backcountry skiers hike back down a trail toward the Obstruction Point Road parking lot in Olympic National Park on Sunday, June 28, 2020.
With summer officially here and snow melting rapidly, a handful of skiers and snowboarders could be seen taking advantage of the last swaths of snow on the mountains, while many hikers simply enjoyed the views from the trail.
Obstruction Point Road and Hurricane Hill Road beyond the Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center are open to visitors.
Hurricane Ridge Road is currently open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for access to restrooms only from the upper level.
