Washington should restrict entry, quarantine visitors to prevent virus spread

The summer and warmer weather haven’t slowed the increase in coronavirus infections.

Unaddressed, infections in a second wave are all but guaranteed sometime this year.

The decision to open parks in Clallam County will likely spark an increase in coronavirus infections caused by visits from hordes of infected masses from countries and states that either dismiss COVID-19 as a hoax or view it as under control.

COVID-19 cases in the U.S. are increasing at a record pace in many areas.

Consequently, it is obvious that the federal government has proven incompetent and even scandalous in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.

Given that certain states have radically reduced the increase in new COVID-19 cases, so can Washington state.

Besides enforcing social distancing and the mask mandate to mitigate infections we, as a state just like New York, should restrict entry and quarantine visitors from states and countries exhibiting more than a 10 percent increase in COVID-19 cases

This novel and extraordinary disease will only submit to novel and extraordinary countermeasures.
