LETTER:Vote with liberals

District 24 legislators Rep. Steve Tharinger, Rep. Mike Chapman and Sen. Kevin Van De Wege have let their constituents down.

They consistently vote with the I-5 corridor liberals.

Against overwhelming public input to the contrary, they voted to restrict our 2nd Amendment rights and due process rights enumerated in the 14th Amendment.

Two of the most egregious measures already have been shot down, pun intended, at the 9th circuit and Supreme Courts.

Maybe they should restrict criminals’ gun rights for a change and leave the law abiding citizens’ self-defense rights intact.

Whatever happened to Hard Time for Armed Crime?

If that isn’t enough, Gov. Jay Inslee finally got his carbon tax also after several previous defeats.

After telling us it was only 20 cents per gallon, the latest figures are 46 cents per gallon for gas and 56 cents per gallon for diesel; effective Jan. 1, 2023.

By 2030 it’s looking like 89 cents per gallon and $1.02 per gallon respectively.

So on Jan. 1 we will be first place in gas taxes nationwide.

It’s time to vote in representatives that aren’t in lockstep with Seattle liberals and that’s certainly not these three.
