We have vaccines for diseases such as chickenpox, measles, mumps, polio, rubella, shingles, tetanus and smallpox.
I was really surprised to see the PDN’s Peninsula Poll question on Dec. 15 show that 64 percent who responded say they would choose to not be among the first to get the COVID-19 vaccine.
Really?
I hope those who voted “No” are just waiting to see that the vaccine is proven safe before choosing to get the shot.
While they wait, I truly hope they don’t contract COVID-19 and eventually agree to receive the vaccine.
Many of you probably know someone who at some point had one of the diseases mentioned above.
I doubt many of them would have turned down the vaccine if they were offered the chance to get a shot.
