The opportunity is again upon us to choose who allocates and spends our money and make the rules we live by.
When they accept our employment they are required to act in good faith for the collective best interest of all our citizens without favor to any person, group or faith.
So how do we make this heavy choice in this 246th year of America’s constitutional republic?
What are our options?
What’s the impact of each on our neighbors’ children, our collective health, our mother earth, our legal rights and finally, our unalienable right to “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness” as noted in the Declaration of Independence?
The signers of the Constitution knew it was an evolving experiment never before tried and memorialized the goal “in order to form a more perfect union.”
This disallows the mindset of ‘my way or the highway.’
It means that everyone should have a seat at the table based on the rule of our evolving legal code meant to be based upon our unalienable rights spelled out in the Constitution, not on interpretive ideology.
Please think your choice through and choose wisely with empathy. I’m counting on you to do the right thing.
