LETTER:Biden, Harris

We are fast approaching voting day.

Over the past four years, the present presidential administration has subjected us to one crisis after another.

So many crises we tend to forget yesterday’s because there is another today.

From Donald Trump’s promise to show his tax returns then refusal, Russian meddling in the elections, Trump’s cohorts tried and convicted of perjury, tax evasion, secret bank accounts, witness tampering, obstruction of justice, etc.

And of course, there were scrapped trade agreements betraying long-time partners which cost American jobs.

Tariffs that cost American jobs necessitated an additional $20 billion dollars of subsidy to soy farmers.

Trump ignored American intelligence sources, preferring the word of Vladimir Putin about voting intrusions and Russian bounties on U.S. servicemen.

He insulted American veterans and soldiers, calling us “losers” and said of John McCain, he liked people who “weren’t captured.”

Trump has alleged voter fraud with no evidence and undermined the U.S. Postal Service.

He has botched the pandemic response, flip-flopping on possible solutions and quack remedies.

He has ignored expert advice and scientific evidence in dealing with COVID and climate change.

Crisis, fear, divisiveness.

Rinse, repeat.

Through all this, we have issues to deal with which have not been addressed, including rebuilding the infrastructure, a growing homeless problem, inadequate medical coverage and affordable education.

These are matters we need to solve by working together as a strong, united country, “with liberty and justice for all.”

We need new leadership.

Vote Biden and Harris.
