Would vote no
I’m a Republican and a realist.
Abstinence does not work for women, abstinence does not work for the Catholic Church and abstinence does not work for intoxicated teenagers, especially boys, which is one reason we have laws prohibiting use of drugs and alcohol by minors.
I have great empathy for Dr. Christine Ford in her very difficult decision to come forward with allegations, however, either she lacked parental guidance or was so naïve as to qualify for a “Darwin award” by attending that party.
You don’t go swimming with alligators.
I believe Judge Brett Kavanaugh is an honorable man and does not deserve character assassination.
I hope some members of each party vote independently from what is expected.
Were I a Republican senator I would be voting no — not because of his actions as a teenager, even if it is true, but because I believe he may well vote to overturn Roe v. Wade, which would be an experiment worse than prohibition.
