Support for Winborn
I am writing in support of Mary Ellen Winborn for re-election as director of community development as a result of past and recent interactions with the Clallam County building department.
My recent experience involved a building project that required that I do all of the permitting for the project.
I was fearful that the process would be difficult and overwhelming due to my lack of experience with the permitting process.
To my delight, I found the staff at the department to be helpful, knowledgable and friendly.
The general attitude was one of cooperation.
I had the sense that it had not always been such a positive atmosphere.
Several people with firsthand experience had led me to understand that under the previous administration, the process could be difficult to navigate.
I believe that under Mary Ellen’s leadership, the department has evolved into an institution that stands for what is right in our community and has created a positive work environment where the staff seem motivated and happy to serve the public.
I am of the opinion that if it is not broken, it doesn’t need to be fixed.
Please join me in supporting Mary Ellen Winborn for re-election as director of community development and allow the department to flourish under her leadership.
