Part of the insidiousness of COVID-19 is that it presents so little evidence of its presence to the outside world.
If it caused skin eruptions like smallpox, Ebola, the plague, chicken pox or the measles then social distancing would be automatic and mask wearing would be easier for skeptics to accept.
There’s nothing like oozing buboes to make others want to get the heck away.
COVID-19 is not “just the flu.”
It attacks the epithelial cells that line the blood vessels and can cause blood clots, organ failure, heart attacks and strokes, even in young people.
It can also, even in asymptomatic cases, cause brain damage.
One can be infected and feel more or less okay, but meanwhile, the virus is merrily pistol-whipping crucial brain neurons.
This can cause irreversible brain damage.
Be kind to your brain cells.
Wear a mask.
