Why haven’t the libraries been considered for limited reopening yet?
These buildings are enormous resources that are just sitting idle when there are many ways to engage with the public even during these times.
Why not open for a few hours a week with a special time reserved just for seniors like the grocery stores are doing?
Or maybe let 10, 20 people in at a time to pick up books they’ve already reserved?
Or a librarian could retrieve books for the patrons, all of whom would be wearing masks of course.
No mask, no books, DVDs etc.
I know there are other ideas out there.
Please let’s get this discussed and some creative solutions implemented.
