LETTER: Universal health care less confusing

For universal care

Actually, President Obama was quite correct when he said, “You can keep your doctor.”

This is correct, you can keep your doctor under the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

Whether your doctor accepts assignment is up to the doctor.

Cash will usually work, but it is no guarantee; being rich is a huge advantage, though.

Assignment also is the case with Medicare and your private insurance, and private insurance is the most draconian.

Have you read your insurance contract?

PPOs, deductibles, that fine print.

Most of this truly confusing medical accounting will go bye-bye when we go to universal health care.

Our nation will be happier, healthier and more productive with universal health.

It’ll also be less expensive.

And hey, since we’re at it, can you tell me something?

What it is about “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” that you don’t seem to understand?

Oh, OK, you think that those hallowed words only apply to you, hmm.
